Accessibility
As a reputable insurance company, Your Insurance Group is committed to provide support for people with special needs on our website. We have invested time and effort in making this site accessible to broader range of customers.
We are complying with the October 2004 UK Disability Discrimination Act's, DDA, web site code of practice. We have also followed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WAG) 1.0 Level A A provided by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Submission Forms
We have ensured that our quote submission forms are accessible by following the WAG guidelines and best practices. We have also provided an alternative phone numbers to enable users to call our operators who would help them filling any form.
Navigation Shortcuts
Hidden in every page is a short menu that allows you to jump directly to the most important parts of the page, including main content and navigation. Each of these also has an access key associated with it. This will save you more time viewing the content of the site.
We followed the UK government accessibility checklist in assigning our access keys, which can be found at Web handbook - Building in universal accessibility + checklist.
Site Map
We have provided a site map page, which will allow easy access to every part of the site.
Controlling Font and Images Size
Our pages have been tested on most modern browsers to enable users to increase font and images size from the built-in facility within the browser.
Used Web Technology
To attain the highest level of site accessibility, we have used XHTML 1.0 with CSS 2.1, we have enriched the pages with the correct mark up and avoided using tables for design. We have also provided the proper alt attribute for the images where necessary.
